Scott Hausmann M.S.

Scott Hausmann is a wetlands expert with over 32 years of professional experience working for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. 

In addition to policy and legislative responsibilities, he was responsible for coordinating the Department’s wetlands protection and management programs. Prior to this position, he headed the Department’s water regulation program, which included the state’s navigable waters and wetland permitting, shoreland and wetland zoning, dam safety and wetland inventory programs.

Mr. Hausman has authored numerous professional articles on lake and wetland ecology, management and public policy issues related to wetland protection. Mr. Hausman is a Board member of the Association of State Wetland Managers, and was the recipient of the Environmental Law Institute’s 2003 National Wetland Award. He holds a B.S. in Biology and Chemistry from Carroll College in Wisconsin and a M.S. in Limnology from the Center for Great Lakes Studies, University of Wisconsin.
