This taller-stature Sedge Meadow native seed mix features several 6' plants like Prairie Dock, Joe Pye Weed, Ironweed and Dark-Green Bullrush. In July, look for bright yellow flowers from Great St. John's Wort.

Sedge meadow communities grow in areas where groundwater is at or near the surface of the ground for the majority of the growing season. Sedge meadows can be, but do not have to be, adjacent to lakes, streams, or other areas of open water. The soils are often very organic and dark.
